On a fortuitously dry afternoon in a very wet week, Woldingham put its best foot forward on Wednesday 28 February to aid our own and others’ wellbeing with our Big Lent Sponsored Walk to raise money for the Cardinal Hume Centre.
Between the starting point of the Astro and finish points at school laden with doughnuts and hot chocolate lay almost three and a half miles of footpaths, fresh air, steep hills, and lovely views, which were completed with gusto, and lots of lively chatter – not least at the muddiest bits.
We returned to school somewhat muddier than we left, but refreshed and revitalised in our own achievements and by the knowledge that our efforts will support the Cardinal Hume Centre in its work to help people facing poverty and the threat of homelessness in London.
