In the early hours of last Saturday, 30 boarders from Years 7 to 10, accompanied by four members of staff, embarked on an adventure to Disneyland Paris.

A sleepy start quickly turned into great excitement as we boarded the ferry and completed our final leg of the journey to arrive at the colourful gates of Disneyland.

We spent Saturday afternoon and evening exploring the park, meeting for a delicious dinner, celebrating one student’s birthday and hopping on and off as many rides and rollercoasters as we could. Sleep was very welcome as we planned to be up early the next day to make the most of everything Disneyland had to offer.

Our Sunday was jam-packed with parades, shows, shopping, more rides and rollercoasters, music, meeting Disney characters and so much more! We ended our visit watching the amazing light display and incredible fireworks (see photo in gallery below).

We reflected on our weekend at Disneyland on the journey home, chatting about our favourite rides, showing each other our best snaps of the park, as well as being treated to a Disney singalong by our Year 10s. I think it’s fair to say that we all had a wonderful time.

Ella, Year 10 - “Unreal! Every single detail about this trip was perfect, even the weather.”

Nicole, Year 9 - “It was an unforgettable experience. I loved the parades and the creativity of the fireworks. My favourite ride was Big Thunder Mountain.”

Martina, Year 8 - “Disneyland was really good and I had a lot of fun. I will never forget it - we went on 13 rides in one day!”
