26 June 2024
Miss Siobhan Campbell, Head of Art
Our annual GCSE and A Level Art and Textiles Summer Exhibition on Monday 24 June showcased outstanding work from our talented and hardworking Year 11 and Sixth Form students.
Year 11's pieces were of such remarkable quality they could easily have been mistaken for A Level work, demonstrating the high standards achieved by our young artists. The range of work on display was exciting, with ambitious explorations in scale and the use of materials.
Our Lower Sixth artists presented their final pieces for their first project, and their accomplishments were truly impactful. The works demonstrated students’ ambition in both scale and material exploration, highlighting their dedication and commitment to their craft. It is clear they have already begun to develop their artistic voices and are poised for further growth and success next year.
However, it was the Upper Sixth art and textiles students who stole the show. Their remarkable work pushed boundaries across a range of artistic disciplines, including fashion, film, painting, sculpture, and installation, and their dedication and creativity were evident in every aspect of their creations. It is inspiring to see our students making such meaningful contributions to the world of art.
More photos from the exhibition can be enjoyed in the gallery below. These images serve as testament to the exceptional talent and dedication of our students and their remarkable achievements.
Congratulations to all the students who exhibited work at this year’s Summer Exhibition. Your commitment and hard work have not only been recognised but have set a high standard for all our aspiring artists at Woldingham.
