24 June 2024
Miss Kara Kaaber-Gore, Assistant Head of Sixth Form
On Saturday 22 June, our Upper Sixth students enjoyed an evening to remember with parents and staff at a wonderful Leavers’ Ceremony and Ball.
After speeches from Mrs Harrington and Mr Abbott, each student took to the auditorium stage to receive her leaver’s certificate, a gift bag and a very special message from her tutor. A video montage of highlights from the students’ time at Woldingham brought forth the first of many tears on an emotional evening.
After the ceremony, we gathered for drinks in the sun on Pergola Lawn, the perfect setting for both nostalgic reminiscing and chatter about exciting times ahead. We are all incredibly proud of our unique and vibrant Upper Sixth, who hold offers to some of the most prestigious higher education institutions around the globe.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner, complete with entertainment from a magician and a roving saxophonist and singer. The photobooth was fit to burst all evening, capturing final snapshots of fun and laughter. As the evening seemingly came to a close, the students were ushered out onto the terrace for a surprise grand finale: a show-stopping firework display.
We wish the Class of 2024 the best of luck in all their endeavours. This is not the end of their Woldingham story, rather the start of a new chapter as they join the talented collective of women who form our Woldingham alumnae.
