Passion for performing shines through in Year 7 to 9 production of “Remember My Name”

18 June 2024

A wonderful time was had by all on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 June as students in Years 7 to 9 took us to 1980s New York for the fabulous extravaganza “Remember My Name”, inspired by the musical “Fame”.

The cast sang, danced and acted their hearts out to bring to life the highs, lows, romances and heartbreaks of fictional characters who share their own love of performing. The songs “Hard work” and “I want to make magic” perfectly summed up everything that cast and crew put into this memorable production and the experience they gave the audience.

Director of Drama Miss Stacey Williams, who directed the show, was brimming with pride after the performances, saying "Every single one of the 75 students involved on and off the stage challenged themselves  to create something truly magical. The level of skill, professionalism and maturity our students bring to the roles never ceases to amaze me. Congratulations to my entire cast and crew – you have raised the barre yet again!”
