Spring was in the air and everyone had a spring in their step on the afternoon of Wednesday 5 March on Woldingham’s whole school Lenten sponsored walk in aid of the Cardinal Hume Centre.
The sun shone and, unlike last year, the mud was minimal as students and staff walked almost three and a half, largely hilly, miles. But the hills rewarded walkers with beautiful views and we all returned to school refreshed and revitalised – and more than ready for the doughnuts and hot chocolate that awaited us.
The sponsorship money, and the savings made from our Frugal Lunch on Friday 7 March, will support the work of the Cardinal Hume Centre, which helps people facing poverty and the threat of homelessness in London.
