Mrs Alison Alder, Sacred Heart Exchange Programme Co-ordinator
Having enjoyed an exciting adventure in the USA last October, Year 10 students Mira and Anjola recently welcomed to Woldingham – and into their homes - their exchange partners Ada and Arabella from the Convent of the Sacred Heart, 91st Street, New York.
During their two-week stay, Ada and Arabella experienced life as a Woldingham student, going to lessons with Mira and Anjola and trying out some of our many extra-curricular activities, as well as sightseeing in London and further afield in Oxford.
All four girls found the exchange experience very enriching and enjoyable, both at Woldingham and in New York. Our International Sacred Heart Exchange Programme is designed to broaden students’ global awareness, academically, socially and culturally. After the Easter break, I am looking forward to talking to Year 9 students about the exciting opportunities open to them for exchanges with students from sister Sacred Heart schools in America, Australia, Mexico, Italy, Japan and Austria in the 2025-26 academic year.
