Last Friday the Woldingham community celebrated the many achievements of Years 7 to 9 over the past academic year. Not only were these marked by the awarding of well-deserved prizes, but girls also gave some fantastic presentations and performances that reflected on their activities and interests: Evie, Jada and Imogen talked about their community outreach work with The Orpheus Centre; sport was featured by Sofia (tennis), Sabrina (pentathlon) and Molly (football); Emmanuella talked about learning Japanese and the Arts were wonderfully brought to the stage by Melanie singing one of her own compositions, Olivia, Teni and Nicole performing Hallelujah and a lovely ballet piece from Zoe - not forgetting Sophia’s lovely piano playing while everyone gathered at the start of proceedings. . There were also excerpts from two fabulous recent drama productions, The Peace Child (Year 7) and Tails of Hamelin (Years 8 and 9).
A feast of highlights was also captured in a very entertaining Life at Woldingham video that reminded everyone how much has happened since last September and which gave parents a lovely 'behind the scenes' look at events they don't usually see - Woldingham's Twelve Days of Christmas ritual springs to mind!
This lovely afternoon was topped off with drinks on a very sunny Pergola Lawn.
