As the first half term comes to a close, the action on the courts and pitches has been plentiful and, in many cases, very successful.
In the past fortnight there have been hockey fixtures against Trinity, Christ's Hospital, Burgess Hill for Girls, Hazelwood, Tormead and Brentwood, with wins at nearly all age groups. Our netball teams have taken on Thomas’s Clapham, St Mary’s Ascot, Manor House, Oakwood, Royal Russell, Warlingham and Croydon High - again with wins at a variety of age groups across all oppositions. The 1st VII took on Wimbledon High School in their first round of the Cup but unfortunately, due to an injury, the match had to be abandoned and will be replayed after half term. The 1st XI narrowly lost to Eastbourne College in an excellent second round fixture. However, they have been crowned Surrey U18 Trophy Champions!
The netball development squad have also had two sets of internal fixtures, developing their skills as well as their match play. In District and County Competitions, the U15A VII were District runners up, and finished fourth in their county group at the Surrey Schools, while the U16B team were runners up at their District, and U14A VII finished third in their first round of the Surrey Schools.
