As part of Woldingham's business partnership with Gatwick Airport, 18 Lower Sixth students have been working on an assignment to benchmark Gatwick’s approach to community engagement to that of other companies. Last week, in the boardroom overlooking the runway, they presented their findings to the Head of Community Engagement, the Head of Retail and others in the Gatwick management team.
Having successfully completed the community engagement part of the project, our students have now moved onto their retail assignment and will be reporting back to Gatwick’s senior management team in March. As part of their trip, they were given a behind the scenes tour of the airport's retail operation and learned a great deal about this huge business venture. We are hugely grateful to the team at Gatwick for giving our students this wonderful opportunity.
