Last Wednesday, an enthusiastic team of Year 11 and Sixth Form students travelled to Ravens Wood School to participate in the UK Mathematics Trust Senior Team Challenge. This nationwide competition is exciting, fast paced and full of fiendishly difficult problem-solving activities. 33 teams from schools all over the South East took part and Woldingham finished comfortably in the top third of the competition. This was even more impressive considering most other teams were comprised entirely of Sixth Formers. Our younger students were pleased to be given the opportunity to compete in an event of this calibre. Huge congratulations to the girls involved: Tracy (Fanyu), Alina, Claudia and Chiara (Jiawei).
