Last week the school Ski Team travelled to Flaine, in the French Alps, to participate in the British Schoolgirls' Races. After a day of intense training, the team, consisting of Lily, Clara and Trixie, was ready for the two days of competition which saw them compete in the giant slalom and slalom events. The races attract some of the top schoolgirls from around the UK with many of the competitors training and racing on a regular basis. This may have been daunting to some but it did not put our team off and, battling the dreaded flu going around, all three girls skied well in both events. Over the four days they learnt a lot about ski racing, improved significantly and want to try out for the team again next year.
