Last term, the bi-annual Trinity Speech/Drama and Public Speaking exams took place.
As part of the broad range of activities offered by Woldingham’s Drama Department, these lessons and exams explore in depth the delivery and performance of verse, prose, acting texts and the invaluable skills needed for public speaking and presentation.
11 girls fitted this work in to their busy schedules; at levels ranging from Grade 5 to the top Grade 8, all achieved marks over 80% and many over 90%. All deserve praise, but Hetty Arnfield and Rebecca Jeffrey should be mentioned, as both took their final Grade 8 in Speech and Drama and achieved almost full marks.
The lessons leading to the June entries are well under way, with opportunities for Year 7 girls to experience group and duologue work, and more entries for Acting and Public Speaking.
