Straight after Giving Day, those who had run, swum, driven and sung in the name of charity made the very short journey to the Kitchen Garden where they were joined by family and friends for 175 WoldFest – Woldingham’s very own Family Summer Festival, organised by WPSA.
Girls, and dads with all the moves, danced to music from live bands, Caffeine and Best of Enemies, and DJ Seb; children learnt circus skills and the brave of heart tried out the bucking bronco. Delicious food choices included a hog roast, pizzas, tacos, crêpes and, of course, cupcakes decorated at that afternoon’s Giving Day; handily, an inflatable running bungee was available for anyone looking to work off a little overindulgence.
The weather and setting couldn’t have been better and, along with the entertainment, good food and good company, it all added up to a perfect summer evening.
Chair of WPSA, Francesca O’Keeffe, commented: 'WPSA were so delighted that over 550 parents, children and staff came together for the first ever WoldFest. The stars aligned, gracing us with amazing weather and a fantastic atmosphere. A terrific way to end the academic year.'
