On Tuesday we held the second of this year’s Upper Sixth Networking Breakfasts, welcoming professionals from the fields of Accountancy, Architecture, Civil Service, Dentistry, Event Production, Film Production, Finance, Human Resources, Media, Property and Technology. One guest was an overseas based Old Girl returning to Woldingham for the first time in over twenty years and she loved the experience of being back and meeting our Upper Sixth students.
Mrs Hutchinson gave a welcome speech and reminded the students how important events like these are to help them develop their softer skills, which will be so valuable to them at university and in the world of work. She also encouraged girls not to be too sector specific in their thinking as modern careers are unlikely to be linear; many of our guests could certainly vouch for that.
Everyone enjoyed some lively and informative conversation over a fabulous breakfast and we are extremely grateful to our guests, current and former parents, and alumnae, who gave up their time to take part.
We are keen to hear from parents who would like to participate in one of our careers events. Please contact me if you are interested.
