In honour of our inaugural Christmas Shopping Event, Main House took on a decidedly festive air earlier than usual this year, with twinkling Christmas tree lights and aromas of cloves and cinnamon – emanating both from candles and mulled wine! Shoppers browsed and purchased from the more than twenty stalls in the Goddard and Wilson Rooms, whose wares included luxury handbags, ladies’ clothing, men’s accessories, handmade jewellery, limited edition prints, personalised clothing and accessories, homemade cakes, stocking fillers and local sparkling wine. Each of our stallholders donated a prize to a very popular raffle and there was also a keenly contested silent auction for a Gilbert match rugby ball signed by the England International Team.
Before the shopping began, Woldingham mum, Mrs Prime, and Woldingham’s Alumnae Development Officer, Katie Hogben, ran two highly enjoyable workshops, during which guests learnt how to make Christmas wreaths or beautifully decorate Christmas cakes.
Thank you to everyone involved for supporting this lovely evening in aid of the Woldingham School Foundation, raising funds for our bursary programme, and we look forward to seeing you at an even bigger and better event next year!
