Year 7 members of the weekly Drama Workshop shared the fruits of their labour last week. They spent last term investigating Willy Russell’s play Our Day Out (written in the 1970s) and performed three scenes from it, which they had modernised and adapted. The result was highly entertaining and the audience in the Drama Studio was transported from a coach, to a zoo and, finally, to a beach. Everyone was impressed by the girls’ imaginative adaptions and the hilarious characters – and they clearly enjoyed playing some rather badly behaved school children and the somewhat out of their depth teachers!
