The year, the calendar allowed the running of the annual Inter-House Pancake Race on Shrove Tuesday itself, meaning that, appropriately, pancakes provided the fuel for participants in this keenly-contested event. Spectators cheered, clapped, whistled and shouted encouragement from the moment the Year 7s began the race and continued without let up as the lead changed hands several times, before Head of Stuart , Mr Nunes, took the chequered flag at the finish line. That makes it two in a row for Stuart - will Barat, Digby and Duchesne dust off their frying pans a little earlier next year to try and have the edge?!
