This week’s Gardeners’ Wold covers the largest and smallest of gardening passions – trees and seeds.
Mrs Clayton takes a close look at a very familiar Woldingham landmark – the lovely beech tree which overlooks Main House. Mrs Sebastian’s section on seed growing is thoroughly stolen by daughter Emily who seems to be a natural at both gardening and presenting.
It comes as no surprise to see how well Mrs Hutchinson’s vegetables are flourishing, but we do learn that she’s a keen pickler and why she has a shoe box in her airing cupboard.

Gardeners’ Wold is produced by Head of Theology Mr Ross who, living on site, is able to keep us up to date with all things green at Woldingham. His inspiration was the long-running BBC Television programme, Gardeners’ World.
