5 June 2020
Woldingham ran our first online webinar for parents on Thursday 4 June to provide an update on how remote teaching and learning is currently working, and to help students make the most of learning at home. We held the webinar following a very positive response to our recent parental survey.
More than 100 parents, staff and governors took part in the webinar, which featured videos from real lessons as well as a live session led by Mr Bohanna and Ms Weatherston, who are leading the school’s approach to remote teaching and learning. During the webinar, teaching staff provided feedback on the improvements suggested by parents and answered a range of questions from them. The webinar also featured 10 top tips from teachers around the school on how students can get the best out of remote teaching and learning.
A live poll during the webinar found that knowledge of Woldingham’s remote teaching and learning increased from 5 out of 10 at the beginning of the webinar to 7.5 at the end.
