A constellation of lights was the perfect backdrop for an evening of sparkling musical entertainment at our informal summer concert, Anything Goes, on Monday 28 June.
A socially distanced audience in the auditorium, and the wider Woldingham community watching via the live stream, enjoyed Beethoven rubbing shoulders with Rihanna, and Purcell with Adele, as soloists, duets and pop groups took to the stage. There were also choral and orchestral treats, including a lovely opening performance of Poor Wayfaring Stranger, the fun of Strauss’ Pizzicato Polka and a powerful rendition of Saint-Saëns’ Danse Bacchanale.
This was a delightful musical finale to the academic year.
