Woldingham supports school children in Sierra Leone with uniform donation

22 April 2022

Mrs Camilla Mair, Foundation Director

During the Easter holidays we were very pleased to donate old-style Woldingham uniform to school children in Sierra Leone, thanks to a partnership with the charity Home Leone and Nigel Hyde, its founder and CEO.  Home Leone aims to alleviate poverty through a comprehensive education that empowers students to flourish in and around their community.

We are very grateful to Woldingham’s Transport Officer Mr Cocksedge, who coordinated the partnership, loaded the uniform onto a van and drove it to Southampton Docks. This logistical feat could not have been achieved without the help of Mrs Hogben, Miss Brazier and Mrs Amaro. Thank you to everyone who donated old-style uniform.

We are not able to accept any more donations of old-style Woldingham uniform or sports uniform at school.  However, donations of current uniform are very gratefully received to support the Woldingham School bursary programme.
