Woldingham’s ever popular Junior Choir Festival, when we welcomed six primary and prep school choirs to school, was a resounding success. On Tuesday 11 October pupils from St David’s School Purley, Eaton House The Manor, Fosse Bank School, Oakhyrst Grange, St Francis’ in Caterham and Dolphin School took part in drama and music workshops as well as rehearsals in the afternoon, followed by a concert performance on stage for each of the choirs in front of a packed audience.
Well done to all of the choirs, and in particular to the Oakhyrst Grange School choir who performed I Can Go The Distance by Lin Marsh, judged the overall winner on the night by Adjudicator Jane Werry.
Thank you to the Music Department for hosting such a successful festival and to our music scholars who helped make the event go so smoothly.
