Stuart celebrates House patron and feasts in ‘wonderland’

We loved seeing everyone in Stuart House happy, laughing and coming together, as Stuart always does, at our annual feast on Monday 21 November.

Together with Miss Arch, Head of Stuart House, we decided on the theme of Alice in Wonderland’s Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, inspired by Alice’s blue dress, representing our Stuart colour. It also was the perfect fit with the new feast format of an afternoon tea.

We are hugely grateful to the team of people, including House reps, Miss Arch and teachers in Stuart, who helped bring our ideas to life and made the Goddard and Wilson rooms look spectacular for Stuart to dine in. Decorations included banners, blue dining tablecloths, candles, clocks and, of course, a giant figure of the main character herself, Alice.

Tea was a banquet of delicious foods, sandwiches, cakes, sausage rolls, popcorn. Thank you to the catering staff who created such a feast.  During tea, everyone in Stuart sat at large tables with their year groups and teachers, playing games and chatting.  Tea was followed by Mass, led by Father Gerry, where we celebrated our House patron, Janet Stuart.

Our feast was a great opportunity for Stuart to become closer as a House. We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did. We are both so appreciative of Miss Arch, who helped so much in the organisation, and our thanks to the whole of Stuart for making it such a memorable event.
