9 March 2023

Woldingham is delighted to announce that Ms Kate Renshaw will join the school at the start of the next academic year as Head of Lower School (Marden). She takes over from Miss Charlotte Owen, who is to take her first head teacher role as Headmistress of St Mary’s School, Hampstead in September 2023.  Ms Renshaw will be Head of Year for Years 7 and 8 and a member of Woldingham’s Senior Leadership Team.

Ms Renshaw is currently Assistant Head (Pastoral & Student Wellbeing) at Streatham and Clapham High School in London, the lead person for pastoral care within the school. She is also a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and formerly Head of Year 7, and Head of Biology. Ms Renshaw has a BSc in Psychology from the University of Leeds and studied for a PGCE at Warwick University.

Dr Whitehead, Woldingham’s Head said:

‘With more than ten years of commitment to working in girls’ education, with a genuine interest in our school ethos here at Woldingham and with her combination of pastoral, academic and student-recruitment experience, I know Ms Renshaw will make a wonderful leader of Marden, Woldingham’s lower school. We very much look forward to welcoming her to Woldingham.’

Outside of work, Ms Renshaw enjoys fitness training, running, walking, yoga and travel and has trekked to Everest base camp.
