Our Gala Ball on Friday 5 May was a wonderful way to celebrate Woldingham’s 180th anniversary and support the school’s bursary programme. The Palm Court at the Hurlingham Club in London provided a stunning backdrop for the event, which had a distinctively pink and floral theme. Two hundred and eighty guests - parents, staff, governors and alumnae - enjoyed drinks on the terrace and in the Palm Court before taking their seats for a delicious meal.
Guests were able to bid on the silent auction throughout the evening and, as pudding was served, the liveliest of live auctions took centre stage, run by Woldingham alumna Claire Collini. All of the wonderful auction lots were generously donated by members of the Woldingham community and we were thrilled with what we raised on the night for our hugely successful bursary programme.
After dinner, guests took to the dancefloor to the fabulous sounds of our live band, The Deps. The evening drew to a close around midnight, with the sounds of merriment echoing through the grounds as everyone made their way home.
