It was lovely to see so many Year 7 students giving their grandparents a guided tour of Woldingham on Thursday 11 May. Plenty of umbrellas had been put on standby, but the sun shone as grandparents were shown Pergola Walk, the pond, and of course the fish, among the many other highlights that their granddaughters are now very familiar with in their third term at Woldingham.
After their tour, everyone enjoyed a video montage of photos of some of the many things Year 7 students have taken part in since joining last September, including House Festival, Bonfire and Fireworks Night and Woldingham’s 180th anniversary celebrations – as well as plenty of lessons, of course. No doubt many of these activities were discussed over the delicious afternoon tea that followed.
