At our Harvest Festival assembly on Thursday 28 September, Helen Harris, from Purley Food Hub expressed how touched she was by the wonderful donations, which will be of great help local people in need. Helen also said that, glad as she was to visit Woldingham once again, part of her wishes she didn’t have to. When she helped set up the Purley Food Hub 10 years ago, she never imagined it would still be a vital community resource a decade later. In that time, the Hub has fed 35,716 people and, as Helen stressed, 'every packet, every jar and every tin does make a difference to people’s lives.'
