New leadership award encourages students to make the most of opportunities at Woldingham

25 September 2023

Mr Adrian Ross, Director of Leadership, Head of Theology, Sacred Heart Co-ordinator

At our whole school assembly on Thursday 21 September, we launched the Woldingham Leadership Award, an innovative new scheme designed to encourage students to make the most of the many opportunities available at Woldingham, as well to recognise good works, such as volunteering, in the wider community.

Open to all students, there is a Woldingham Leadership Award for each phase of school life: Marden, Main House and Sixth Form. As they work towards completion of the award, students are encouraged to record their positive contributions to their local community, chart their personal growth and write their own story.

The award scheme is underpinned by our Sacred Heart Goals and seeks to foster the qualities of servant leadership, helping students to shape their Woldingham journey to becoming confident, compassionate and courageous young women with a strong sense of self-respect, and a genuine care for others and the world around them.

I look forward to welcoming the first recipients of the Woldingham Leadership Award to a celebratory reception later in the academic year.
