6 November 2023
This year’s Upper Sixth Oxbridge applicants have applied for a broad range of courses: classics, economics, education psychology, engineering, HSPS (human, social and political sciences), medicine, natural sciences, theology and veterinary medicine. As part of their preparation for an Oxbridge interview, in the first half of term, applicants gave short talks on a chosen aspect of their subject to academic scholars on our Kritikos programme. On Friday 3 November, it was the turn of our scholars to put questions to some of the applicants. As well as giving candidates practice of thinking on their feet, it was a great opportunity for scholars to get a taste of what may lie in store for them in a few years’ time.
Next in store for our Oxbridge candidates – and students applying to study medicine – is a day of interview practice with staff on Monday 13 November, following an interview preparation day on Sunday 12 November.
