On Wednesday 8 November, England netballer Fran Williams ran masterclasses for netballers across the school, organised by the PE Department, just before she moves to Australia to continue her career as a professional netballer on the other side of the world.
Captain of Woldingham’s 1st VII Milly H-C said: ‘It was amazing to work with an England player and learn from someone with such a vast level of experience. In our session with Fran Williams, we learned new defensive techniques and drills to enhance our perspective on why it is essential for both defensive and attacking players to adopt defensive play. I particularly enjoyed playing with girls from younger years as it united us as a netball community. We wish Fran luck in the Australia super league and thank her for taking the time to coach us.’
