Before the feasting and presentation of awards only to be expected of a night at the Oscars, on Tuesday 16 January, Digby House gathered in the school chapel for a Mass to celebrate the life and work of House patron Mabel Digby, who was instrumental in modernising Sacred Heart education in the late 19th century, particularly in science.
Plenty of fun followed at a fabulous feast, organised by House Captains Jemima and Milly and Head of House Mrs Jenkins. Little wonder that Woldingham’s catering team was one of the night’s Oscar winners, along with year group awards that included ‘most enthusiastic’ (congratulations, Year 7) and ‘funniest’ (Lower Sixth, we learn).
