8 February 2024
Mrs Tania Carrilero, Head of EAL and International Student Coordinator
Our International Evening on Tuesday 6 February was an energetic and vibrant medley of cultural entertainment from all around the world. This hugely popular annual event celebrates our rich and diverse community and it was a real treat for students – and staff - to enjoy performances by their peers from China, Japan, Spain, Mexico, the Philippines, Thailand and many other countries. The highlight of the evening was seeing so many girls sing in their first languages and dance to the most popular songs in their home countries. As always, this exuberant annual event saw students across the year groups share a little piece of each other’s culture, while having fun with their friends.
Thank you to Sophie, our International Ribbon, and our international student reps for all their work to organise a lovely evening that brimmed with a real sense of togetherness.
