Ms Amanda Owens, Librarian
We held our always highly-anticipated annual Harry Potter party in the library on Thursday 8 February, with 16 Year 7 students eager to join Hogwarts for the evening. After the important matter of being sorted into their Houses by the Sorting Hat, the students took part in a series of fun activities to see which House could achieve the most points and lift the Triwizard Cup. Broomstick racing, dragon spotting and using paper planes to throw their names into the Goblet of Fire were all on the menu, as was a veritable feast of Harry Potter-themed food including Hufflepuff’s famous popcorn, herbology batons, fruit wands and butterbeer! A more cerebral quiz concluded the party before Slytherin was announced as the winning House to great excitement.
