Mrs Monica Wraith, Teacher of Art
Given the challenge of designing and making dresses from paper, Year 9 artists cleverly crafted a catwalk-ready collection.
In small groups, the students exchanged wonderful ideas, experimenting and pushing boundaries with folding, ripping and scoring different types of paper to generate their designs. The results, as the photos show (see gallery below), were superb.
I was delighted with their teamwork and ingenuity and they enjoyed the challenge enormously, sharing that it was “great to work in a team”, “so good for the environment”, “great fun and I feel proud”.
